The lodge was built in 1892 and, for over 50 years, was a Jesuit retreat center. Today, Laughing Heart Lodge offers accommodations in its 7 lovingly renovated rooms (all with private baths) with exceptional mountain views or lovely forest views. At the edge of our 8 acres, Laughing Heart Hostel (located at the trailhead of the Appalachian Trail) includes very affordable lodging for hikers and other visitors to Hot Springs. Next to the hostel is our cabin with a loft bedroom, available to individual guests August through February.
