It was created to provide a retreat where guests can experience the delights of the Blue Ridge Mountains and still easily access the arts and sophistication of downtown Asheville. Located two miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway and only 10 miles from the center of downtown. Each of Sourwood's 12 guest rooms has a private balcony overlooking the Reems Creek Valley, a wood-burning fireplace and a tub with a view. French doors open onto the balconies, let in the mountain breezes at night and sounds of the woods. The inn has numerous public spaces - porches with rockers, a lobby with cozy chairs in front of a crackling fireplace, a library with great reads and a game room with a billiards and ping-pong.
