There is a small collection of pottery and baskets, as well as a variety of artifacts of Occaneechi life ranging from arrowheads to rabbit traps to parts of an old moonshine still used by one of the Indian families. A 30 minute documentary film “Occaneechi - The Survival of the Circle” may be viewed on site. The Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation is continuously committed to the preservation, protection and promotion of our history, culture and traditions; while providing social, economic and educational resources, opportunities and services that will contribute to the well being of the tribal community.
