Coronavirus Precautions

To continue the effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, Governor Roy Cooper has issued a Stay at Home order for the entire state of North Carolina until Wednesday, April 29.

Restaurants and bars are only open for take-out and delivery orders, and closed to all dine-in customers. More information about take-out and delivery options and other local resources specific to North Carolina destinations can be found here.

All visitor centers, campground areas and picnic shelters at North Carolina state parks are closed until further notice (some trails remain open), with various state parks (plus Great Smoky Mountains National Park) and state forests closed completely. Additionally, the North Carolina partment of Transportation's Ferry System has adopted alternate schedules, and North Carolina's nine welcome centers are closed. Please use DriveNC.gov for real-time information on rest areas, resources and traffic if traveling is absolutely necessary.

Art shows and concerts are held throughout the year at the Arts Center, administered and overseen by the Madison County Arts Council.
