Tucked away in historic downtown Elizabeth City, the Culpepper Inn is one-hour drive from the Outer Banks. The three-story brick Georgian Revival-style manor was built by William and Alice Culpepper in 1935 in the center of the historic district of Elizabeth City, only six blocks from the center of town and the harbor front on the Pasquotank River.
The Inn features 11 guest rooms with a private bath. The Inn is surrounded by lush grounds with beautiful old live oak, magnolia trees and camellia trees. The Tavern Room, in-ground pool and the rockers on the porch, invite our guests to linger and relax during their stay.
The Culpepper Inn is available to host events inside with room for up to 75 and outside with room for up to 150. We offer customizable packages for your special occasions and holiday celebrations.
