Cast Away on New Adventures in Wilmington & Island Beaches
This Shingle Style Inn was built in 1932. With the Atlantic encroaching, the Inn was moved in 1988 to its present location. The Inn reopened in 1991 after three years of renovation when modern conveniences were added. Now in the National Register of Historic Places, The First Colony Inn stands on the coast in Nags Head as the sole surviving beach style hotel, welcoming new generations to the old-fashioned pleasures of the Outer Banks.
