The Official North Carolina Travel Guide is a key tool for Visit North Carolina, promoting the state as a premier travel destination. It showcases all 100 counties and provides essential information on where to go, where to stay, and what to do. The guide is distributed through VisitNC.com, the 1-800-VisitNC call center, and North Carolina's Welcome Centers, which see more than 7 million visitors annually. Additionally, 60,000 copies are distributed with popular magazines like Better Homes & Gardens and Southern Living, expanding its reach. A range of advertising opportunities exist to get your message in the hands of travelers. The guide’s impact is evident, with 93% of readers inspired to plan or take a trip to North Carolina, 79% developing a more favorable view of the state, and 62% saving the guide for future use. Its combination of print and digital distribution makes it a powerful tool for tourism promotion.

Outdoor NC Alliance Partner Program

Visit NC has launched destination stewardship programming under the Outdoor NC brand. This initiative aims to balance the quality of visitor experiences with the well-being of local residents while conserving both natural and cultural resources. The Outdoor NC Alliance Partner Program offers tiered partnerships starting at $300. Partners will receive a variety of benefits like access to the Outdoor NC toolkit, which includes usage rights of the 7 Outdoor NC Leave No Trace Principles, and marketing and educational materials such as brand assets, and training resources. Please note that this program operates on a fiscal year basis and participation does not automatically renew each year.
