In the small town of New Bern in 1898, local pharmacist Caleb Bradham invented the original formula of what would become Pepsi-Cola. Today, visitors can head to The Birthplace of Pepsi, a soda fountain shop where visitors can taste a Pepsi and learn more about its inventor and the early days of one of the world's favorite soft drinks. Pepsi is just one of many famous foods and drinks that call North Carolina home.
