Coastal NC National Wildlife Refuges Gateway Gallery & Visitor Center

The Visitor Center welcomes visitors to our gallery, which features a wide variety of educational and entertaining exhibits. "Soar" in our Cessna airplane, where visitors may "fly-over" the 11 national wildlife refuges represented at the Center. Marvel at the realistic dioramas and learn more at the multi-sensory theater with three distinct productions.

Entry is free. The Visitors Center is located on the north end of Roanoke Island on the opposite side of US 64 from The Lost Colony, Fort Raleigh and the Elizabethan Gardens, We're open daily except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
