To continue the effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, Governor Roy Cooper has issued a Stay at Home order for the entire state of North Carolina until Wednesday, April 29.

All visitor centers, campground areas and picnic shelters at North Carolina state parks are closed until further notice (some trails remain open), with various state parks (plus Great Smoky Mountains National Park) and state forests closed completely. Additionally, the North Carolina partment of Transportation's Ferry System has adopted alternate schedules, and North Carolina's nine welcome centers are closed.
