Wandering Sun Meadery is Piedmont Triad's only honey winery and tasting room.

Mead is a mixture of honey, water, and yeast. It is often called "honey wine," but it's far more versatile than traditional wine. There is a mead out there for everyone, so stop by and find the one for you!

Owners Drue and Trevor Ogle and Trevor's wife, Mary Katherine, opened the venue with the goal of introducing this centuries-old beverage to spirit enthusiasts. The Ogle's pride themselves on supporting local beekeepers by only using honey sourced in Rockingham County. Their dedication to the process allows visitors to observe the bottling facility while enjoying the atmosphere of the inviting and quaint tasting room. Wandering Sun's menu also includes North Carolina wines and brews.
