Dedicated to the conservation of raptors, Carolina Raptor Center features over 30 species of raptors including eagles, owls, vultures, falcons, hawks, and more. For over 30 years, CRC has partnered with Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to provide environmental education opportunities for visitors from around the corner and across the world. Latta Plantation Nature Preserve is the ninth most visited area attraction with over 366,000 annual visitors and the Jim Arthur Raptor Medical Center treats 900-1,000 birds a year, releasing almost 70% back into the wild.
