The Tryon International Equestrian Center is one of the premier centers in the equestrian world. But everyone will enjoy this gorgeous facility surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains - it is geared towards the total enjoyment of competitor and spectator alike. The Center is open to the public: drop in for lunch or dinner at one of their many restaurants (year-round), watch a competition, or attend one of their regular special events like their summer "Saturday Night Lights" festivals or non-equestrian related events like outdoor movie night, trivia or themed evenings. The competitions have interpretation, with digital signs and announcers for all levels of competition, plus Jumbotron viewing of the Grand Prix events. This facility opened in June 2014 with 10 riding arenas, 850 permanent stalls and a covered riding facility and continues to expand, including several hotels.
