The Belmont Historical Society is a cultural and heritage learning center that preserves the history of the area. Visitors will learn about the development of Belmont from the early days of Native Americans, through the years when it thrived as as a textile manufacturing giant, to the current days of a growing community. Come learn about the history of Belmont located west of Charlotte, along the Catawba River. In addition to the museum the Belmont Sports Hall of Fame and The Parkdale Mills, an original mill house with furnishings of a typical mill house of the 1920s-1930s can also be found here.
