Located at the Levine Center for the Arts, The Gantt Center is Charlotte’s destination for African-American art, history, and culture. A new four-story facility houses three galleries designed to exhibit artifacts from the Smithsonian and other world renowned museums as well as the nationally celebrated John & Vivan Hewitt Collection of African-American Art. Lectures, small plays, films and initmate musical events are staged in the Performance Suite and the Learning Center is the perfect space for art workshops customized for guests of all ages. With a variety of venues - including the Grand Lobby, Board Room and Rooftop Pavilion & Terrace - weddings, receptions, meetings and other gatherings are often hosted at the Gantt Center.
