Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA)
SECCA is a dynamic center for exploring the best in contemporary art. We are a vibrant home and preferred place to engage in a lifelong learning experience with the arts. Exhibits the most innovative and cutting-edge art of today from emerging international, national and local artists in our three galleries spanning more than 10,000 square feet of exhibition space. We're located at the historic home of James G. Hanes, an English manor-style home built in the 1929. Take a look around the historic estate. Step into the living room where President Dwight D. Eisenhower was once entertained, then stroll to the library with lots of hidden doors. One of them leads to a beautiful mirrored bar, which is especially interesting when you consider that the house was constructed in the Prohibition-era South. Free admission.
