Living history is recreated by experienced interpreters in 18th century attire, working with traditional tools, engaged in hearthside cooking, candle making, weaving and other activities. Explore all eight historic mountain log cabins and outbuildings, including the Tatum Cabin built in the late 1700s, and learn the ways early settlers lived and survived. Gift shop on site.

Private group tours are available, with a variety of educational programs that focus on the settlement period between 1785 and 1805, when the settlers in the region had to grow, create, and trade for life necessities. Advanced reservations required for groups.
