Mud Dabbers is a fully functioning pottery studio and gallery settled in the mountains of Balsam. A multi-generation passion project of the Dodson family, Mud Dabbers has become a staple of the Appalachian arts community. Our potter’s open workspace gives you the unique experience to see the artists in action. We cherish the special bond that we’re able to create with every person who comes into our store! Adults and kids are all welcome to watch pottery being made. When a potter is in the studio, kids are welcome to request a small piece of clay to sculpt and take home.
