NC Fried Apple Pie Festival

Celebrating an Appalachian tradition of fried apple pies at North Carolina's only fried pie festival. The festival features a fun and competitive fried apple pie contest, kid's activities, food trucks, arts & crafts vendors, live music, and more. This is event is held in the quiet, charming little town of Sparta, NC, which is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and Highway 21 in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This festival has something for everyone and is always a family-friendly event! In our first year, we had between 11,000 and 12,000 folks, and we expect even more in 2024. Oh, and there will be plenty of fried apple pies on hand! Admission is free so bring the family and enjoy this fun and unique event!
