Vacation Ideas
visitnc vacationsClick here to check out some of the lively and first-class destinations that North Carolina has to offer.

We’ve got the highest mountain peaks east of the Mississippi and some of the lowest average temperatures, which means outstanding snow sports; a cool oasis for hiking, biking and more in the spring and summer; and an amazing season of fall foliage.

Plan a getaway to a serene spa or country inn. Ready for adventure? Whitewater rafting runs the range from serene to heart-stopping; biking and hiking trails prove that enchanted forests don’t just exist in fairy tales. Golf holes beckon mischievously with vertical drops off the tee of up to 400 feet.

And the great indoors is just as exhilarating as the outdoors. Spend an afternoon exploring America’s largest home, at the Biltmore Estate. Tour little churches with frescoes created by a master. Tap your feet at a bluegrass festival any given weekend.

Find your perfect vacation in the North Carolina Mountains.
