Built in the summer of 1941, the Inn enjoys a spectacular setting, surrounded by the waters of the Pasquotank River and Waters Pond, named for Samuel Waters, an original owner of the land. The house is a finely crafted example of European Manor House architecture, with a winding staircase opening into wide halls and large, elegant rooms.
Guests are welcome to stroll the acres, sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset, or walk through the camellia garden. Take a nap on the hammock, or read by the water. The more adventurous might enjoy a canoe ride on the river.
Serenity and comfort abound here. Our library offers reading and music. Our sun room is a gracious and comfortable place to enjoy a sunny (or rainy!) afternoon. Fireplaces in the library and living room take the chill off a cool evening.
Full breakfast. Open for weddings and special events of up to 500 people.
