The original No.2 Rocky Mount Station is home to more than 100 years of Rocky Mount Fire Department history. The museum houses a wooden fire main, old photos of firefighters, the city’s first fire alarm system and other mementos. A main display is a horse-drawn steam engine built in 1878 and used in Rocky Mount from 1896 until 1922.
