“Mountain streams, where water and life begin” is the theme of this educational facility dedicated to exploring the wonders of North Carolina’s wildlife. Aquariums, 20-minute video, hands-on exhibits along a paved walkway, garden display, viewing and feeding of trout at the Pisgah Fish Hatchery. Free programs, offered all year, include stream snorkeling, fly tying, fly casting, falconry, hunter education, birding and animal programs such as owls, wolves, trout, turtles.
