The Southeast’s largest natural history museum offers four floors of exhibits, live animals, a gift shop and the Acro Cafe. Highlights include the world’s most complete Acrocanthosaurus dinosaur; Willo, the first dinosaur discovered with a fossilized heart; a two-story waterfall; and the Living Conservatory buzzing with hummingbirds and butterflies. The museum hosts spectacular new traveling exhibits every year and hands-on programs daily.

The Nature Research Center offers the SECU Daily Planet, an immersive, three-story multimedia space that hosts live programming on current science issues and feature nature films on a giant screen. Other highlights include a 10,000-gallon aquarium with lionfish, bonnethead sharks and Atlantic stingrays. At Investigate Labs, visitors can perform scientific experiments designed and led by Museum researchers and educators.
