Located in Downtown Raleigh, this site is home to some of N.C.'s most extraordinary treasures. Historic outbuildings include: c. 1785/1826 Mordecai House, c. 1840 overseer's office and cure barn, c. 1842 Allen Kitchen and Ellen Mordecai Garden, c. 1810 Badge Iredell Law Office, c. 1847 St. Mark's Chapel and the c. 1800 birthplace of the 17th U.S. president, Andrew Johnson. Tours offered Tues-Sun.

Begin your trip at the Visitor Center. Here you will find tour tickets and park information, as well as the gift shop and meeting space. The permanent exhibit, "The Mordecai Story: Faith, Family, and Community in Raleigh" was installed in June 2016. Admission and hours vary. Public tours aren't offered when school groups are onsite, so please call ahead to check availability.

Historic Raleigh Trolley tours are offered on Sat., March-Dec. These one-hour, narrated tours see notable sites.
