The Dan River offers more than 100 miles of scenic paddling and fishing amidst towering cliffs, mountain laurel, flowering shrubs, fields and woodlands in Caswell, Rockingham and Stokes counties. Convenient to Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Chapel-Hill and Raleigh, numerous paddle trips are available from easy whitewater to a gentle float along a lazy river.
