The museum offers mounts from across eastern N.C., the U.S. and Africa.

Discover more about three of eastern North Carolina's predators – the red wolf, the coyote and the fox. See a 500 lb. bear from nearby Hyde County as well as pronghorn antelope and mule deer from the Rocky Mountain west. Learn about Alaskan wildlife and get a close look at moose, record-book sheep, and caribou. African species are here, too!

At the Touch Table, your fingers can explore the subtle differences between hides of beaver, otter and muskrat and the not-so-subtle differences between black bear and rabbit while you discover interesting facts about these and many more animals.
