Formerly known as "The Home of the Perfect Christmas Tree" store, the newly expanded attraction is now the Market on Oak. With the expansion came the presentations of local foods from regional farmers, a growing list of titles from regional authors and, of course, more regional crafts.
Throughout the year, visitors enjoy special events such as book signings with authors, concerts from regional musicians, taste testings of delicious regional mountain foods and demonstrations by Western NC artists.
Visitors come to from around the world for the beautiful handcrafted items including pottery, blown glass, iron work, textiles, children’s clothing and toys, and more from talented artists and craftsmen, many trained or inspired by Penland School of Craft located in Mitchell County.
The Market on Oak is now a proud partner with Blue Ridge Craft Trails!
