A self-guided tour of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s hometown.

The Dale Trail was created in the community of Kannapolis to commemorate hometown hero Dale Earnhardt Sr. An unforgettable experience for race fans, The Dale Trail features more than 15 locations that tell the story of Earnhardt’s life, his legendary NASCAR career, and his old stomping grounds. Stops include significant locations like the Curb Museum for Music & Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing, and the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Plaza where a courtyard features a nine-foot, 900-pound bronze statue of Dale as his hometown knew him – in Wrangler jeans and boots with sunglasses in the pocket.

The free, collectible map that details each stop on The Dale Trail can be picked up at Cabarrus County Visitor Center and in all Cabarrus County hotels. Share your journey along the trail using #DaleTrail.
