The 51 House pays homage to the 51 women led by Penelope Barker who revolted against the British tea tax and formed the "Edenton Tea Party." The restaurant is based upon their story, their time in history, their classic American cuisine and an authentic interior that is the time period of the late 1700s.

Our signature dish is prime rib, along with seafood such as oysters on the half shell, salmon, calamari, flounder, crab legs, shrimp and scallops. Coffee service and dessert served like Penelope Barker would have done.
