Whiteville goes nuts for the pecan with the North Carolina Pecan Harvest Festival in late October/early November. The festival celebrates the harvest of this cash crop in a state that produces up to five million pounds annually.
Pecan Festival Parade kicks off at 10:00 am. The parade forms at Whiteville High School and moves down Madison Street. Festival introductions began on our entertainment stage at 11:30 am and will be followed by musical entertainment beginning at 12:00 noon. The Pink Slips Band takes the stage from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Floodwater Connection follows from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. More details coming on our Super Kids Block and First Responders Competition.
