Suds & Swine in Laurinburg

The Whole Hog BBQ Competition is a circuit sponsored by the NC Pork Association. Participants are professional competitors that battle all year to win a spot in the NC State Championship. Laurinburg joins the circuit this year and fills a gap in the southern part of the state where many competitors reside, but no competition sites were sanctioned. Therefore, the Whole Hog BBQ Competition organization is expecting a very strong field.

To rise to that level of competition, the festival organizers are going all out, turning the event into a two-day festival featuring food and beer trucks, multiple bands, kids games and more. He music will be highlighted by a performance by Laurinburg’s own Jim Quick and Coastline.
