The NC Whole Hog BBQ Competition comes to Laurinburg as part of Suds & Swine in Laurinburg, a two-day festival on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13. Suds & Swine will begin Friday with music, food and beer trucks, and more. The hogs will be handed out to the competition teams at 7 p.m. and the scent of NC pork will fill the air. ‚Äč

Saturday kicks off with the judging of the BBQ at 9 a.m. The cooking competition will also include a backyard/local grill-off. Music will fill the air as various musicians take the stage. Beer tastings will take place. A farmers market and kids' games will also add to the activities. Once the pork is judged, it will be mixed, sauced and sold by the pound or as sandwiches.
