The 4th Annual Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum Underwater Heritage Symposium features presentations by shipwreck divers, underwater archaeologists, maritime historians, and coastal stewards on shipwreck diving experiences, history, and technology as well as environmental issues and maritime culture. Nine speakers present during the day-long event that includes keynote speaker Mike Boring, a noted professional diver and underwater photographer. Boring’s fascination with shipwrecks began on his first wreck dive off of the New Jersey coast in 1971. Since then, he has explored and photographed shipwrecks from above the Arctic Circle to the waters of the South Pacific.

Meet additional speakers presenting on the U-boat war off the North Carolina coast, Great Lakes shipwrecks, undiscovered and unidentified Outer Banks wrecks, oil spills facing the coast, and more.
