2022 Railroad Heritage Weekend at Tweetsie

This is an annual event that celebrates the rich history of the railroad. This event features a “double header,” where both Tweetsie locomotives pull the cars at the same time. There is also the opportunity to photograph the double header from multiple viewpoints along the track. For a $5 donation towards supporting East Tennessee and Western North Carolina railroad preservation projects, a ticket can be purchased to ride in a vintage 1870s coach car. Experience a tour of the Train Shop where the Tweetsie locomotives and cars undergo maintenance. Finally, there is a Memorabilia Room with historical and rare artifacts from the railroad and the theme park.
