Come home for the holidays in Hendersonville as this mountain town unwraps a collection of yuletide events thru New Year’s Eve. Festivities start Nov. 24 with a Holiday Tree Lighting. Santa arrives to illuminate the town tree and Main Street’s lights. The fun includes carriage rides, Christmas choirs and sweet treats.

On Dec. 1, Main Street hosts an Old-Fashioned Christmas. Stores extend hours to serve treats, and carolers stroll the town. Santa visits with kids and carriage rides return. The llamas of Ellaberry Llama Farm pose for pics.

Other events: a Christmas parade (Dec. 2); Candlelight Christmas Tours at Historic Johnson Farm (Dec. 8-9); and Holly Jolly Train Rides (Dec. 16).

Ongoing activities include the musical, “A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas” (Nov. 24-Dec. 21); Peppermint Bear Scavenger Hunt (Nov. 24-Dec. 23); and drive-thru light show at Marked Tree Vineyard (Nov. 25-Dec. 31).
