December is a time to celebrate the Christmas Season in Granville County. The Holiday’s kicks-off in Butner on Friday the 1st with “Christmas in the Park” at 7 pm followed by the Christmas Parade on Saturday at 2 pm. in neighboring Creedmoor, the “Tree Lighting” is at 7 pm on the 1st, with the Christmas Parade on Main Street at 11:00 am on the 2nd. The weekend concludes on Sunday with “Breakfast with Santa” at High Rock Farms and “Cocoa with Santa” at The Barn at Vino in Stem, NC.​

For the second weekend of the month, the festivities shift to Oxford. On Friday the 8th, the community gathers on Main Street with the “Lighting on the Greens” at 6:45 pm, followed by the town’s Christmas Parade. Saturday the 9th, the attention turns to shopping when Carlee Farms holds its “Holiday Marketplace” featuring over 30 vendors, and downtown merchants present “Jingle & Mingle” from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.​

The spirit of Christmas is the highlight of the season with Oxford’s Delrayno Baptist Church presenting their “Back to Bethlehem” Drive-Thru Nativity from December 9-11 - from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm nightly.​

And finally, don’t miss the Granville Christmas Farm, open throughout December!
