Dismal Day and 5K Fun Run/Walk

Dismal Day is a fun filled family festival celebrating history and nature. This fall event highlights the Dismal Swamp State Park and historic Dismal Swamp Canal, located in Camden County. Festivities include children’s crafts & activities, live animals, chalk art contest, scavenger hunts, food vendors, nature-based vendors, and much more! Dismal Day draws visitors from all over and features free wagon rides of the scenic park.
The 5K Fun Run/Walk for Fun, celebrating the Year of the Trail, begins at 9 am on the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. Call to pre-register or register the day of the event, starting at 8:30 am. This family friendly event welcomes strollers and allows participants to walk/run at their own pace. Do not miss this annual fall festival celebrating Camden County's history!
