Dismal Day

Dismal Day celebrates the rich natural and cultural history of the Dismal Swamp and historic waterway. Families can enjoy a variety of hands-on learning & educational exhibits from NC State Parks, National Wildlife Refuge, conservation and safety organizations & agencies. Don’t miss reptiles, snakes and more, food & beverage trucks, bounce house, wagon rides through the swamp and opportunities to paddle the amber colored waters of the canal during the fall season.

The 5K Fun Run/Walk for Fun begins at 9 am on the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. This family friendly event welcomes strollers and allows participants to walk/run at their own pace. Don't miss this annual fall festival celebrating Camden County's history and the "Year of the Bear"!
