Rain date: July 5th.

The Town of Kill Devil Hills has a new fireworks contractor this year! We happily welcome Pyrotechnico, an award-winning fireworks company from New Castle, PA, to Kill Devil Hills! Throughout the search process we were told time and again that North Carolina-certified fireworks technicians are becoming scarce and that became a reality when we could not find a vendor for the traditional July 4th celebration. Representing Pyrotechnico, Justin Pruett has visited the Avalon Pier and found the location to be satisfactory for this year’s event. On behalf of Pyrotechnico, he has voiced excitement over his company’s new relationship with Kill Devil Hills and the pier location. Avalon Pier associates are equally enthusiastic about hosting this year’s fireworks celebration.

So, pack a snack, bring a chair, unroll a blanket, get some sand between your toes, and have a dazzling good time at Kill Devil Hills’ Independence Week fireworks celebration at dark on the beach!
