Downtown Brevard’s all-day, multi-faceted celebration of this all-American holiday offers life, liberty and the pursuit of a hot dog for patriots of all stripes. The Annual Fourth of July Celebration brings music, food, art, classic cars, parades, pet shows and a fireworks conclusion for a big happy Independence Day Event from first trill of the fife to the rocket’s red glare. Fun starts downtown at 9:00 with a day chock-full of activities. At 6:00 the party moves to Brevard College with TCARTS Duck Race.
For several years the Firecracker Race has been the kick off event for the July Fourth Festival. This year the race will start and finish on West Main Street at its intersection with Oaklawn. The fun run is a .75 mile course that does two laps around a square block of historic homes on West Main Street and Probart Street. This is a family friendly event that is sponsored by the Brevard Rotary.
