The B-52s will be coming to Greensboro in September as part of a tour to celebrate their 40th anniversary.The tour is to celebrate the B-52s' 40th anniversary, which will cover more than 10 countries and more than 40 cities. It begins on May 4 and concludes on Sept. 24 in New York City.The B-52s have sold more than 20 million albums over their career, most famously known for "Roam," and "Love Shack."Who knew that when we played our first house dance party in Athens, Ga., in 1976 that we would be still be rocking the house in 2019," says vocalist Kate Pierson.Fellow vocalist Cindy Wilson agreed."Visiting over 10 countries to perform for our fans around the globe makes us so incredibly happy," she said. Let’s rock!"Frontman Fred Schneider offered advice for their fans.“Dust off those go-go boots and shine your dancing shoes because the B-52s are coming," he said.Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) and Berlin are also a part of the tour.
