Alleghany Fiddler’s Convention

Enjoy traditional mountain music that is sure to get your toe tappin’ at the annual Alleghany Fiddler’s Convention. With 40 to 60 bands and over 200 individual competitors each year, fans of mountain music won’t be disappointed. The convention is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the Alleghany County Fairgrounds in Sparta with lots available for camping. The convention is held every year on the weekend of the third Saturday in July.
