Celebrate the reason for the season with Handel’s Messiah. In this one-hour performance culminating in the glorious Hallelujah Chorus, experience the most moving musical portrait of the birth of Christ ever imagined. A musical rite of the holiday season, the Baroque-era oratorio still awes listeners more than 250 years after the composer’s death. Handel, upon completing the score of the Hallelujah Chorus, exclaimed, tears streaming down his face, "I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself."

An incredible line-up of vocal soloists coming in from across the country include tenor David Margulis, baritone Mark Walters, soprano Young Mee Jun and mezzo-soprano Clara Nieman.

Maestro David Michael Wolff leads The Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus.
