Meet NC's Gentle Giants
Towering among the trees and built entirely from reclaimed materials, Thomas Dambo’s giant troll family has turned North Carolina into an open-air storybook. While the mother, father and three troll children have taken up residence in Raleigh, two have journeyed further to High Point and Charlotte. Come wander a world where art, adventure and imagination intertwine beneath the Carolina sky and see if you can piece together the clues to help find the mystical Grandmother Tree.
Big Things Happening
“This isn’t just about public art. It’s about inviting people to step into the story, to leave behind the digital world for a few hours and make something real with twigs, twine, and teamwork.”
- Thomas Dambo
