3 B's Inn
Located just outside Hendersonville in the quiet community of Gerton, 3 B’s Inn is a welcoming retreat designed specifically for travelers with dogs. The name stands for “bed, breakfast and biscuits,” and this pet-centric stay delivers on all three — plus much more.
This 1940s-era roadside inn retains its vintage charm while offering updated amenities to create a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere for both people and pets. With fenced and gated grounds, wooded trails, and a spacious play area equipped with toys and a decorative fire hydrant, dogs have room to explore and socialize.
All breeds and sizes are welcome, and the nightly rate includes accommodations for up to two dogs (additional pets are $15 per night). Each guest room features beds just for dogs, food and water bowls, and hooks for hanging leashes. Furniture covers are provided, so feel free to let pups lounge freely.
In the mornings, guests receive a continental breakfast basket, while four-legged friends can enjoy treats from the inn’s bottomless cookie jar. And if the day calls for grilling out, guests can make use of outdoor amenities to cook up burgers for the whole pack.

Barkwells
At Barkwells, pets aren't just welcome — they're part of the plan. This collection of dog-friendly vacation rentals offers eight luxury cabins near Asheville and two classic cottages in Brevard, each designed with comfort and connection in mind. Every rental features a private fenced yard and gated porch, creating a safe space for dogs to roam while their humans relax. Beyond each yard, expansive shared spaces invite pets and their people to explore, play and meet fellow travelers. There’s even a pond perfect for a refreshing dip or a spirited game of fetch.
Inside, the accommodations are equally inviting. Each cabin or cottage includes cozy amenities like fireplaces, hot tubs and fully equipped kitchens. Guests are welcome to cover furniture with a towel or blanket, so pets can lounge comfortably right alongside them.
Rentals include up to two dogs (with no breed or weight restrictions), and there's a refundable $100 pet deposit. Additional dogs are welcome for $25 each, per stay. Proof of vaccinations is required.

4 Paws Kingdom Campground & Dog Retreat
Set in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 4 Paws Kingdom is a one-of-a-kind campground created exclusively for adults and their dogs. Whether you're traveling with an RV or looking for a rental, this pet-focused retreat offers multiple ways to stay — including cabins, trailers and even a yurt — all designed with dogs in mind.
Some RV sites feature fenced yards for extra freedom, and rental accommodations welcome between two and four dogs (depending on size). Larger packs can join in for an additional fee, and there are no pet deposits required. Humans must be at least 18 to stay.
Throughout the day, dogs can enjoy several off-leash play areas, including a pond for swimming, a space reserved for smaller breeds, a private-play field and an agility course. After outdoor adventures, the on-site dog bathhouse and grooming station provide everything needed to rinse off and relax.
Dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome, as long as they’re social and up to date on vaccinations. While dogs can be left unattended in rentals, a contact number should be provided in case a little barking begins.
