Towering 600 feet above the surrounding forest, Stone Mountain is a granite dome that defines the park’s dramatic landscape — and that's just the beginning. With more than 18 miles of trails, winding creeks, waterfalls and more than 20 miles of trout streams, this is a High Country haven for hiking, climbing and casting a line.
Explore the mid-1800s Hutchinson Homestead at the mountain’s base or follow a stretch of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. The park also offers a 90-site family campground with hot showers, water access and fire rings, plus backcountry sites for a quieter stay under the stars.
