Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft

Downtown Columbia sits on the Scuppernong River, and so does a craft school that has been teaching hands-on skills since 1994. Pocosin Arts runs studios for ceramics, metalsmithing, woodworking and digital fabrication, with five-day summer workshops, weekly classes for adults and kids, and artist residencies. You can also simply browse the gallery for jewelry and pottery made by resident artists and workshop instructors; the shop sells handmade pieces you can take home.
