As a rare original homestead in eastern Lincoln County, Mundy House offers a tangible connection to North Carolina’s 19th-century rural roots. Built by the Mundy family in the early 1800s, this historic log house has been carefully preserved and restored, showcasing the architecture, tools and traditions of early Piedmont life. Details include hand-hewn beams and the original fireplace that once cooked family meals.
Now maintained by the Lincoln County Historical Association, the site invites visitors to tour the home, explore the grounds and experience living history through seasonal programs and educational events.
