Ass Clown Brewing Company is a small, local and “green” North Carolina brewery specializing in new and unique flavors made from high quality ingredients. Come taste up to 12 different handcrafted drafts at our taproom. The brewing process is typically divided into 9 steps: malting, milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, fermenting, conditioning, filtering, and filling. See and learn how Ass Clown innovatively made a spin to our "green" and sustainable brewing efforts. In May 2012, we were voted NC Brewery of the Year by NC Brewers and Music Festival. You can see this desire for experimentation in Ass Clown’s premier beers, such as Poplar Brown Ale, Orange IPA, Dark Chocolate Blueberry Porter and Apricot Seed Pale Ale. Matt Glidden, founder and brewer of Ass Clown Brewing, roasts his own organic coffee, which he adds to coffee porters, and he also makes wine. Open Monday through Friday 10:30am-8pm and Saturday 6-9pm.
