Glendale Springs
Glendale Springs is a special little place just a quarter mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the time to stroll through our community; you will be glad you did. Visit Ben Long’s famous fresco of the Last Supper housed in the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church just a few steps away. Or stop in at Greenhouse Gifts; it could take hours to see the wide selection of crafts and specialty gifts they stock. In fact, you may be serenaded by live dulcimer music while you browse. For shopping of locally handmade crafts and baked goods, you'll need to swing into the historic Northwest Trading Post. Glendale Springs is also home of Ashe County's only Art School, The Paul and Florence Thomas Memorial Art School, Inc. While you're here you won't want to miss the Blue Ridge Dinner Theater with weekly shows from local music to an Elvis Impersonator. After all that, you'll need to take a load off your feet at the Raccoon Holler Campground and enjoy the fishing and the views.
